I laugh at Ann Coulter's venomous attacks on his handling of this affair before it had played out. She's like a rabid dog with a biting fetish. What would she say today--that's she's miserable because Phillips is alive and well, that we have shown the world the leadership that was lost during the Bush years, that this was one military action that has shown discipline and command? I am simply amazed by the No We Can't Republicans who were all set to use this incident to political advantage if it ended badly. I'll bet it's killing them. I could just see the Hannity hit squad lining up invectives. Poor Rush Limbaugh; he'll have to bury his hatchet for another day. If one is sober, he or she would revel in amazement at the accomplishments of the Obama Administration in less than 90 days. It is unfortunate that the insidious Limbaughs of this world wish him (and America) to fail just to gain political advantage. When we voted in change, we voted out Rove politics, although his microphone is still on so he can sing hateful lullabies to his right-wing brethren. I think of the present Republican party as a bunch of lemmings running for the cliff with impunity. 196 unified nays on the budget. When the dust settles, they will look around and wonder where their world went. Barack Obama is pulling this nation together, with them or without them. Lemmings never seem to care.
