Yes We Can! Long Island 2012During the midterm elections, at which time the Obama Administration is under attack by extreme right wing conservative elements of the Republican Party, Yes We Can! Long Island feels compelled to endorse the following Democratic candidates running for national office:

- New York Congressional District 2 Congressman Steve Israel
- New York Congressional District 3 (Pending Responses to Our Questionnaire)
- New York Congressional District 4 Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy
- New York Congressional District 5 (Pending Primary)*
- New York Senator Charles Schumer
- New York Senator (Pending Primary)*
*Yes We Can! Long Island does not engage in primary elections or endorse primary candidates.
Recognizing the limit of our grassroot organization’s resources, the Board of Yes We Can! Long Island will enthusiastically support the campaigns of Congressman Bishop and Congresswoman McCarthy.
