That is the more positive spin on the headline of a Talking Points Memo story that makes note of Joe Sestak’s win over Republican-turned-Democrat Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania’s Democratic senatorial primary as well as Mark Critz victory over a Republican to fill the seat in Congress occupied by the late John Murtha.
…while Sen. Arlen Specter is no longer a Republican, his defeat by Rep. Joe Sestak in the Democratic primary means the GOP nominee will face, perhaps, a much stronger opponent than the beleaguered Specter would have been.
It was a rough night for the Republicans.
