Bob Cesca uses his blog to urge us to act: “Remember how Diane Feinstein complained about all the calls she was getting about it? That was awesome. With the public option on the ropes again, it’s time to amp up our efforts. Because Congress is in recess, I strongly recommend emailing until they reconvene.”

And, as Mark Cronin (LI4C) writes: Because Sens. Schumer and Gillibrand and Rep. Israel, Bishop and McCarthy have all come out in favor of reform and the public option, too many of us who are pro-reform are not calling to register our opinions. That means we are in danger of having the anti-reform contingent win the tally even though the vast majority of voters in our area favor reform. We want our elected officials to be able to say to the media and to the rabble-rousers that the overwhelming majority of calls favor reform. This is a numbers game and we’ve got the numbers, but only if you call today.
